        Well, here we are in 2012. I pray that this year is going to be a year full of terrific insights from the Scriptures. I pray that the teaching found on this website might, in some way, further your love for Jesus Christ and encourage you to seek Him first in every good way.

        Hebrews 2:1-3 reads: “For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it. For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty, how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” This idea is summed up well by Mr. David Guzik when he writes how, “A greater word, brought by a greater Person, having greater promises, will bring a greater condemnation if neglected.” As great as the Old Testament is, the New Testament’s full revelation is even greater. Christian, are you neglecting a focus on the word of God? Guzik goes on to say that the idea of neglect here is similar to what we see in Matthew 22:5 where the people made light of the wedding invitation extended to them. I think the picture painted here of their “busyness” describes many of us very well. Are we “too busy” for time with God?

Make time to seek after Christ in the Bible this year. Seek fellowship if you’re not in it, and I pray you’ll find it.
