About This Clip:  The Christian's relationship to Jesus is here likened to a marital union. Many cannot rightly esteem this because they've not first understood the truth behind why Paul relates a non-Christian's relationship to sin, death and law as a marital union as well. The law itself is perfectly holy; it is spiritual and blessed. Because of its work in us, however, it is the very sentence of death. it reveals our complete unholiness.
