Acts 17:1-15. The Christ and His Necessary Suffering

What an unspeakable privilege to open up Acts with the saints in Tarpon Springs again this week. I’ve gotten to fill in in their pulpit for two parts of an on-going Acts series. Today, I’ll take a shot at reasoning through some few passages from the Old Testament as Paul may have to prove that Jesus is the Christ, and that the Christ needed to suffer and to rise again. Could you reason with others on this from the Old Testament? We do it from the vantage point of the New Testament, but does God’s Old Testament word show you this as much as it showed Paul or Silas or Timothy or Luke? Let’s take a look together.
